Norfolk wordsmith Bubba Spuckler tells today how he solves the Wordle puzzle every day on his first guess.
“I simply type in YOKEL and the word fits,” explained Mr Spuckler. “I’m not sure why everyone says the game is difficult.
“But I reckon the makers of the game should change the word every day to make it a bit harder.”
Wordle is taking the world by storm, as users attempt to get the five-letter word correct within five attempts. The game tells you if a letter is in the right or wrong place, or not in the word at all.
“My family always said I was the clever one, and the proof is in the pudding,” explained Mr Spuckler, who lives in Downham Market with his sister and their six children.
A spokesman for Wordle said Mr Spuckler had got the wrong end of the stick.
“When you make your first guess, you are supposed to press ‘Enter’ to see which letters are correct.
“Just fitting in a five-letter word into the top line is not solving the puzzle.”
