Amazon has revealed that banjos are the most-purchased Christmas gift in Norfolk.
Figures released by the online retail giant show the country bumkin instrument has already been delivered to more than 6,000 Norfolk homes this December.
Second on the list of popular Norfolk presents was six-fingered gloves.
Amazon’s director of commerce in the East of England, Lorraine Fisher, 34, said: “It’s always interesting to see regional variations in our sales data.
“Clearly, banjo playing is popular in rural Norfolk, helping to keep traditions alive.”
The Amazon delivery figures confirmed these top 5 delivery items in the busy two-week period before Christmas…
- Banjos
- Six-fingered gloves
- DNA testing kits
- Hay forks
- Oxon pedicure kits
Ms Fisher said Norfolk stood apart from other counties in the Amazon data, with absolutely no soap or washing products ordered in the run-up to Christmas.
